Yes, it should work. (Regardless of the docking station, the M1 supports max. only one external monitor).
In my opinion, there is nothing to be said against this. The necessary drivers are installed automatically by Windows.
Yes, that is exactly what the dock is for. The socket labelled "USB-C Data" is located on the front and is used to connect an external hard drive via USB-C, for example. You connect the PC with a USB-C cable to the socket on the back, which is labelled "USB-C IN PD".
Hello. We need the docking station with 2 monitors connected to both an HP EliteBook and a Lenovo notebook simply via USB-C without installing any drivers.
It didn't work for me with DEX either - I don't know why.
Can't say sir, sent the product back
Yes, tested with Dell XPS13 (9350) and a newer HP (EliteBook 840 G8 I think).
Yes goes tiptop.
This is a hybrid docking station. The HDMI connection is connected via USB-C DP old mode. Whereas the 2 DP connections are connected via the integrated USB graphics card. The monitor limitation of Macbooks is thus circumvented. The docking station works both via USB-C/TB and USB-A (an adapter is included). Drivers must be installed for the USB graphics card. Drivers are available for MAC/Windows/Linux. When connecting 3 monitors, the max. Resolution 2x 4K/60Hz + 4K/30Hz. Here is the homepage with specs, manual, drivers: i-tec.pro/en/product/catrip...
I have the dock and can test it, but I don't understand the question: Which MAC should be forwarded? MAC addresses are network interface specific, this dock has its own network card and therefore its own MAC address. In any case, no matter whether I connect my laptop or my mobile phone, the same MAC appears on the network.
For that you need some more info, what resolution and what framerate do the screens have? I just assume that they are 4k and 60hz, and your Macbook simply can't handle that. Especially with a Macbook without a graphics card, it's difficult. My 2018 MacBook Pro without a graphics card just manages 4k 30Hz, and that's not super good either.
Hello, Can you please contact our Technical support directly? Our e-mail address is support@itecproduct.com Please let us know the exact type of laptop that you have too. Best Regards i-Tec Team
Yes, the power supply of the docking station consumes at most 135W, while the station itself is capable of charging a laptop with up to 85W of power through USB. With power supplies, it's the receiver (your laptop) that decides how much power to pull. That means you are fine as long as the maximum allowed power of the supply (85W in this case) is greater than the maximum amount your laptop can consume (which in this case would be less than 65W). In short, it won't cause any trouble.
Hello, I use the docking station with a Windows Surface notebook and a Macbook Pro. Both work after installing the DisplayLink driver. Without the driver, the docking station only works very limited with the Macbook. Have you already installed the DisplayLink? Otherwise, you can only access the screen via the HDMI interface on the docking station. Maybe this is the solution to your problem? I don't use this adapter because it doesn't suit me. It doesn't have enough power for my 3 hard drives and I needed USB A ports more. My monitor is a Mac with Thunderbolt 2.
Hello, Unfortunately, that is not possible with this docking station. But can you please contact our Technical support? We have docking stations that may support it, but it depends on the capabilities of your laptop. Please let us know the exact type of your laptop and we may recommend you a docking station if your laptop would meet the requirements. It works very well with Lenovo Thinktank. Unfortunately, I cannot judge Surface Pro 7.
Yes, it even works with the internal screen (4 screens). But you have to install the DisplayManager first so that they are all displayed at the same time. Please inform yourself first about the software to be installed, whether this is OK for you (does not come natively). Just be aware that you can't attach as many USB devices with high bandwidth as you want with this setup due to the limitation of the USB-C bandwidth ;-). I hope this has helped you. Greetings Ben
So on the one hand, the dedicated graphics card will not be used if you connect a monitor to a PC via USB (A or C). On the other hand, this USB-C dock will most likely not work if you try to connect it to a USB-A port on the PC. What you need for your PC is something like this ASUS ThunderboltEX 3 . It comes with a DP cable that you use to connect your graphics card to this Thunderbolt card. Then you have the DP signal of the graphics card on the USB-C port.
Hello, The laptop must support PowerDelivery (Charging over USB-C) too - this is an optional feature, and if the laptop's USB-C port does not support it, then it is not possible for any docking station to charge the laptop over USB-C. Can you please contact our Technical support? Please let us know the exact type of your laptop and we can check the capabilities of your laptop. Our e-mail address is support@itecproduct.com Best Regards i-tec Team
Hello, In order for Charging to work, your laptop must have a USB-C port (that does support PowerDelivery mode(Charging over USB-C)). I have checked your laptop and it does not have a USB-C port at all and older USB-A (USB 3.0) does not support this feature. Best Regards i-tec Team
Not at the same time, you just have to reconnect the cable
Hello, Yes, this docking station can supply 85 W of power. However, this is a recent change. Previously, this docking station was only designed to deliver 60 W of power - we changed it last autumn. ¨ Unfortunately, I have to admit that we forgot to change the number on the docking station as well. So there are docking stations with a pressure of 60 W, even though they can deliver 85 W. Can you please check the box? If the box states that it can deliver 85 W, your docking station can deliver 85 W. If the box states that it can deliver 60 W, you have an older version - but don't worry, we have new firmware that can change it to 85 W (all 85 W docking stations have this firmware). If you have an older version, are not sure or have further questions, please contact our technical support. Our email address is support@itecproduct.com Kind regards i-tec Team ------------------- Hello, Yes, this docking station is able to deliver 85W of power.
