My April beauty favourites

At Galaxus you’ll find over 80,000 beauty products. And counting. That’s quite a lot. Each month, I share my favourites from this pool of new launches and established classics.

From hair to intimate care: over and under is the slogan for April. At least, as far as my beauty favourites are concerned. Here are three products that have won me over this month.

Hair Food care line from Garnier

Where are the matching shampoos and conditioners? That was my first thought after falling in love with the fruity Hair Food masks from Garnier. That was just under three years ago. I remained faithful to the masks. Now my favourite hair care series is complete. I've already tested my way through two sets of shampoo and conditioner from the banana and papaya lines. Verdict: fantastic. Fragrances that are addictive and give a well-groomed hair feel without weighing it down. In addition, the Hair Food range is vegan, recyclable and without silicon, with 98 per cent of the ingredients being of natural origin. Garnier is now also officially animal-cruelty-free, which makes me particularly happy.

Tip: I use masks and conditioners in rotation. So always either or. Because both are so rich, one of each is usually enough. Therefore, I recommend that you start with a duo of shampoo and mask. If the mask is too nourishing, you can switch to the conditioner.

Eimi shine spray by Wella

With the shine spray by Wella, I finally found a finishing spray that doesn't weigh my hair down or feel sticky while providing a clearly visible, long-lasting shine effect. «Glam Mist» from the Eimi range wraps my hair in a subtle but visible shine, which looks particularly good on curls and waves, as its movement catches the light. According to the manufacturer, the product additionally protects against UV rays. With a «hold level» of one out of four, the spray doesn’t offer any significant hold. I think it's great because I don't feel the product when I run my fingers through my hair.

Intimo wash lotion by Nivea

I started using intimate wash lotions just under a year and a half ago. Unlike my shower gel, its is adapted to the acidic vaginal flora. This prevents the good lactic acid bacteria from being washed away and opening the door to infections. Before choosing a product, I had a conversation with a gynaecologist and tested three products. Among them, Nivea Intimo Mild Fresh, which comes closest to a shower gel in terms of feel and convinced with a pump dispenser. If only it hadn't been for that stale cucumber scent. I ended up getting a product by Ceylor. Meanwhile, Nivea has expanded the range and created a flowery, soapy-smelling alternative with «Sensitive», which I switched to.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
