Would you like more on top? Here you can see the difference
Volume, hold, grip! Aveda's thickening spray tonic fulfils (almost) every one of my hair wishes. Maybe yours too?
Laziness gets its revenge. Even when it comes to styling. One tiny step more or less can decide whether your hair is bursting with volume or whether it hangs flat from your head. In my case, this «tiny step» is the application of «Thickening Tonic» from Aveda, a brand inspired by the traditional Indian healing art of Ayurveda.
Full effect
The tonic in spray format gives me visibly more volume. The hair is fuller and easy to grip. I would even go so far as to describe it as wild and a little unruly after blow-drying. The ideal basis for subsequent heat styling that holds and doesn't fall apart straight away. What's more, the volume is still visible on the following days. A big plus: the product does not leave behind an unpleasant film.
The only thing I struggle with is the scent. It reminds me of the incense sticks that cloud my senses in esoteric shops. But it evaporates quickly, so it doesn't linger in my hair. And with the result, I'm happy to overlook this aspect.

How it works: Shake well and spray the gel-like liquid thoroughly into towel-dampened hair from roots to ends. Then comb, blow-dry and style as usual.
If you just want more volume at the roots, I can recommend the «Raise The Root» from Color Wow. It's even lighter. You can find more information on this in this article.
What's inside
Aveda says the following main ingredients are responsible for the beautiful effect: «A plant-based blend of certified organic amla, wheat and corn strengthens your hair and keeps it in shape for longer.» The tonic consists of 96 per cent naturally derived ingredients, is vegan and cruelty-free (Leaping Bunny-certified).

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
