Essie Nail varnish
49 Wicked, Colour paint
We have over 75,000 beauty products in our range. And the trend is rising. Quite a lot. Once a month, I therefore share my personal favourites from this infinity pool of new launches and established classics here.
In the past few weeks, it has been rather quiet in terms of new product launches due to the current situation. As a result, I have mainly rediscovered old favourites and tested products that have been available for a while but have only just made it onto my radar.
Essie Nail varnish
49 Wicked, Colour paint
Halloween is over, but the wicked nail polish is here to stay. "Wicked" by Essie has been my favourite autumn and Christmas polish for over three years. If you like dark colours but find black a little too harsh, Essie's classic is the perfect alternative. The Bordeaux colour is both elegant and edgy and goes with any outfit. Important: Make sure you wear a base coat underneath to prevent your nails from discolouring. Because the colour has it all.
Pens were never my first choice when it came to making up my eyebrows. Until I found out why. Most products on the market have a thick lead. The enemy of precision. Benefits "Precisely, My Brow" has recognised the problem and enables me to imitate individual hairs thanks to a lead that is just under 1.5 millimetres thin.
I started with a small bottle and ended up with six full-size bottles, which I euphorically held under my friend's nose. Officially, this stash of Old Spice "Captain" shower gels was for him. Unofficially for me. Compared to all the other Old Spice lines I've sniffed, "Captain" is by far the best thing that's happened to my nose. Ah yes, my boyfriend likes it too, of course. Incidentally, Old Spice describes the fragrance as a "fresh scent of sandalwood and sea air". My professional verdict, however, is "good".
You will often look in vain for high-quality fake lashes at a reasonable price in Switzerland. Since Ardell has also been available in this country, I now almost exclusively use the "Wispies" model, which is even available in packs of 5. The lashes have a transparent, thin band that is flexible and can be easily adjusted to fit your eye. No pricking, comfortable to wear. The transparency also allows you to dispense with eyeliner, which you would normally use to conceal a black band. The "wispies" emphasise the outer corner of the eye in particular and complement a simple everyday look just as well as dramatic smokey eyes.
Eau de Parfums don't usually give me pleasure, they give me a headache. With "Girls Can Be Crazy" by Zadig & Voltaire, I get to enjoy both for once. For the fact that I rarely wear perfume, I have worn this latest creation a hell of a lot - and received plenty of compliments. The brand describes the fragrance as a "sparkling pear-cola accord, enveloped in jasmine and an addictive signature of vanilla enriched with musk." My words exactly. Unfortunately, the fragrance is already on sale here. But blindly ordering a perfume online wouldn't be the best idea anyway. So why not take a sniff of the bottle at the next opportunity.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
