My July beauty favourites

At Galaxus you’ll find over 80,000 beauty products. And counting. That’s quite a lot. Each month, I share my favourites from this pool of new launches and established classics.
July is fresh. At least, as far as my beauty favourites are concerned. This month, it’s all about snow in the summer, hydrated eye areas, and a foundation that’s calling for a reboot. Here are the beauty products that have convinced me:
Evercalm Overnight Recovery Balm by Ren
The older I get, the drier my eye area becomes. Scaly patches are no longer the exception, but the rule. The «Evercalm Overnight Recovery Balm» by Ren isn’t actually an eye cream, but a rich facial care that’s perfect to nourish my dry under-eye area. The initially solid balm melts between my fingers into an oily texture that I dab into my wrinkles before bed. The balm provides my skin with plenty of moisture and makes me look fresher in the morning. Nice side effect: with no flaky skin, blotchy results are a thing of the past after applying my concealer.

Infinite Shine 2 Long-Wear Lacquer by OPI
Self-tanner and white nail polish that looks like whiteout are currently the high-contrast dream team dominating my Instagram Explore Page. Finding the perfect white polish wasn’t easy. My search ended a week ago with the «Infinite Shine 2 Long-Wear Lacquer» by OPI in the colour «Alpine Snow». An icy name for such a hotly sought-after summer varnish. Alpine Snow covers with only one layer, and lasts and shines. It also works well for white tips in your next French manicure. This colour lacquer is the second step in OPI’s three-part Infinite Shine lacquer system. Hence the 2 in the name. I left out the base and top coats, steps 1 and 3. The varnish fulfils its purpose even without the other layers.

Reboot Foundation by Make Up For Ever
It looks like my skin, only better. The «Reboot Foundation» by the brand Make Up For Ever is one of my ultimate favourites in terms of summer foundations. The liquid make-up with light coverage makes the skin look like it had been retouched with a soft-focus filter. It smoothes out minor imperfections and leaves a natural-looking, radiant finish on my skin. I apply it using a damp make-up sponge. It absorbs some product, but the glow is next level thanks to the moisture content. If you don’t want it quite as glowy, it’s best to reach for a make-up buffer brush.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
