Product details

The Güde honing steel is ideal for sharpening. The finely polished handle of the Güde honing steel is made from over 80-year-old oak wood sourced from old wine barrels. The Fasseiche line, featuring the Güde honing steel, was developed in collaboration with a Michelin-starred chef specifically for wine lovers and cooking enthusiasts.

With each cut, a knife loses a bit of its sharpness. Therefore, it should be honed occasionally with the Güde honing steel.

Tip for sharpening: Right-handed users should hold the Güde honing steel in their left hand and the knife in their right hand (left-handed users should do the opposite). Both sides of the blade should be drawn along the full length about 10 times at an angle of approximately 15°. After a short time, honing becomes easy, and the knives remain sharp enough for regular use.
