Revell Aqua Color

The popular Aqua Color paints are now available in all 88 shades. Model builders no longer have to compromise and can rely on this acrylic paint system for all their color needs.

The advantages of this paint system: Revell Aqua Color paints come in innovative 18 ml containers that are easy to work with. The paints are water-soluble, low-odor, non-flammable, and contain virtually no organic solvents. There are 88 different colors that can be mixed together. After 2 to 3 hours, the paint is fully dry, and re-coating can be done after just one hour, which is six times faster than with enamel paints.

The new colors and the existing enamel colors (14 ml) can be easily layered after the drying time, but they cannot be mixed with each other. The paint is also suitable for airbrushing. It is important not to dilute the paint too much; a maximum of 20 to 25% water should be added. Ideally, the paint should be diluted with Aqua Color Mix, as it serves as a drying retarder and prevents the paint from drying too quickly in the airbrush. The airbrush should be cleaned immediately with water after use. If the paint has already started to dry, the airbrush can also be cleaned with Airbrush Clean or Aqua Color Clean.

For brush application: The paints are brushable and feature high opacity. Smooth surfaces after brushing are almost as good as when airbrushing. The final result is absolutely comparable to enamel paints and offers exceptional results when brushed.
