Revell Aqua Color

The popular Aqua Color paints are now available in all 88 shades. Model builders no longer have to compromise and can rely on this acrylic paint system for all their color needs.

The advantages of this paint system include: Revell Aqua Color paints come in innovative 18 ml containers that are easy to work with. The paints are water-soluble, low-odor, non-flammable, and contain virtually no organic solvents. There are 88 different colors that can be mixed together. After 2 to 3 hours, the paint is fully dry, and repainting is possible after just one hour, making it six times faster than enamel paints.

The new colors and the existing enamel colors (14 ml) can be easily painted over after drying, but they cannot be mixed together. The paint is also suitable for airbrushing. It is important to note that the paint should not be overly diluted, with a maximum of 20 to 25% water. Ideally, the paint should be thinned with Aqua Color Mix, as it also acts as a drying retarder and prevents the paint from drying too quickly in the spray gun. The spray gun should be cleaned immediately with water after use. If the paint has already dried, the spray gun can also be cleaned with Airbrush Clean or Aqua Color Clean.

For brush application: The paints are brushable and feature high opacity. Smooth surfaces after brushing are almost as good as when airbrushing. The final result is absolutely comparable to enamel paints and offers exceptional results when brushed.
