Revell Aqua Color

Here, the model builder no longer has to make compromises and can rely on this acrylic paint system for all his color wishes.

The advantages of this paint system: Revell Aqua Color paints come in completely new 18-ml containers that are ideal for processing. The paints can be thinned with water, are low-odor, non-flammable, and contain virtually no organic solvents. There are 88 different colors that can be mixed together. After 2 to 3 hours, the paint is fully dry, and overcoating is possible after just one hour, which means it dries 6 times faster than enamel colors. The new colors can be easily painted over with existing enamel colors (14 ml) after the appropriate drying time, but they cannot be mixed together.

The paint is also suitable for airbrushing. It is important to note that the paint should not be thinned too much, with a maximum dilution of 20 to 25% with water. Ideally, the paint should be thinned with Aqua Color Mix, which also acts as a drying retarder and prevents the paint from drying too quickly in the spray gun. Clean the spray gun immediately after use with water. If the paint has already started to dry, the spray gun can also be cleaned with Airbrush Clean or Aqua Color Clean.

For brush application: The paints are brushable and feature high opacity. Smooth surfaces after brushing – almost as good as airbrushing. The end result is absolutely comparable to enamel colors and offers exceptional results when brushed.
