The maintenance of lithium-ion batteries requires a specific type of charging and discharging, which is managed by the integrated electronics in the battery. This electronics can prevent damage to the battery from over-discharge, overcharge, overheating, or short circuits. The battery itself is equipped with high-quality cells.

To ensure a long and reliable lifespan, the battery should never be stored in a fully discharged state. It is also not advisable to store it fully charged. During the off-season, when it is stored, it should be charged to about 40 - 50%. Never store a fully discharged battery for an extended period, even if the self-discharge is relatively low. If the voltage of any of the cells falls below 2.8 V, it will be difficult to "revive" the battery.

The battery should be stored in a cool place; high temperatures are harmful, and it does not tolerate frost well either. Never attempt to charge the battery quickly; only use the charger supplied with the Hecht product. A properly used Hecht Li-Ion battery has a lifespan of about 1000 charge cycles, which can mean several years of reliable use. However, improper use can significantly reduce its lifespan.

The battery is equipped with a charge level indicator, allowing you to check the charge status at any time with the press of a button.
