Extreme 2 is the specialist for freehand drilling in thin-walled materials. It features a constantly increasing core diameter in the shank direction for maximum breaking stability in freehand use (from Ø 4.8 mm). The abrasion-resistant size markings are placed outside the clamping area for permanently good legibility (from Ø 5.0 mm). An anti-slip shank with three milled clamping surfaces prevents the drill bit from spinning in the chuck (from Ø 5.0 mm). The iron oxide alloy effectively protects against overheating, ensuring circular drill holes with clean, virtually burr-free edges.

The drill offers up to 50% increased break resistance and breaking stability. It starts immediately on contact, eliminating the need for center punching. The Extreme 2 center point enables precise spot drilling without running, while specially ground shoulder cutting edges mill exact, circular holes with clean edges (from Ø 4.8 mm).

Application examples include use in alloyed and unalloyed steels up to 900 N/mm² tensile strength, drilling sheet metal and thin-walled profile materials (as well as pipes without pre-coring) where precise and clean holes are required. It is also very suitable for drilling wood and plastics.
