Vegan cosmetics: our most beautiful tubes and jars from Italy
Do you want to do good for the environment and for animals by applying cream to your body or washing your hair? In our shop, you'll find lots of vegan cosmetics from Bella Italia.
Have you ever thought about the amount of animal-derived ingredients you find in your creams, shampoos and make-up? Insects, fish scales, beef tallow or fish liver: in reality, cosmetic products are not vegan by nature.
However, many manufacturers are now taking care to offer you a vegan product. This means that the items are completely free from any ingredients of animal origin. One example: cow fat can be replaced by vegetable oils such as jojoba oil or almond oil.
Happy animals, happy nature
Vegan cosmetics aren't just better for animals, they're also better for the planet. In fact, the production of ingredients of animal origin generally requires a lot of water.
In Italy, vegan cosmetics are still relatively unknown. But the cosmetics sector here is expanding rapidly, as is our range of Italian beauty products. Some brands, made one hundred per cent in Italy, are already committed to veganism. Here are three inspirations for you:
Natural cosmetics Italian style
In Italy, the brand has been around for decades: Naturale Antica Erboristeria or N.A.E. is a brand of certified natural cosmetics for face, body and hair. For your well-being, ingredients from Italian nature are used. For example, mandarin, rosemary, olive oil and grape seed oil are used to create new beauty recipes. According to the manufacturer, at least 97 per cent of the ingredients in each product are of natural origin and at least 100 per cent of all ingredients are organically grown.
A small selection: the Repair Mask works thanks to a combination of organic olive extracts & organic basil, cares for and detangles your hair. According to the cosmetics producer, it is suitable for long-lasting care, prevents split ends and improves manageability.

Graziosità is a night cream which, according to the manufacturer, promotes skin regeneration during the night thanks to organic rosehip oil, organic orange peel extract and hyaluronic acid, while smoothing fine lines.
Solid shampoos have gone from being the odd outsider to a beauty must-have. Here too, the cosmetics manufacturer is offering a vegan variant: the ingredients of organic lavender and organic rice extracts are claimed to intensely cleanse and condition your hair, as well as detangle it. The manufacturer promises healthy, silky hair and natural shine if you use it.
Chic look, vegan content: Nudo Naturemade
Nudo Naturemade offers charming bath products made not only with select ingredients, but also with great attention to detail. Everything is vegan, everything is made in Italy. The Organic shampoo and body bath comes in a pretty bottle and contains organic aloe vera juice, rice bran oil, linseed oil and wheat protein, among other ingredients. According to Nudo Naturemade, the shampoo leaves your hair shiny and protected. What's more, it's said to smell of green tea. The manufacturer's soaps are sure to look great in your bathroom. Organic Soap Charcoal & Liquorice, for example, looks, as the name suggests, like a piece of charcoal worked into a filigree.
On the road: Davines
Nearly all products from Italian brand Davines are now vegan. Behind the brand is an Italian family business that attaches great importance to sustainability. In addition to natural ingredients, Davines also ensures that its production is climate neutral. The range includes beauty products, cosmetics and numerous hair care products. Naturaltech Nourishing is a nourishing shampoo which, according to the manufacturer, nourishes and moisturises. Afterwards, you can pamper your hair with More Inside serum. It's supposed to provide more hold and less frizz. What does Heart of Glass remind you of? I hope you're thinking of Blondie and properly pampering your radiant hair: the conditioner of the same name provides intense nourishment and strengthens the hair fibre thanks to baobab extract. I didn't know what it was either until now: according to Davines, the extract obtained from the jagua fruit balances unwanted tones while strengthening and lightening blonde shades.
The best of Tuscany: Biofficina Toscana
Biofficina Toscana is an Italian brand with a focus on sustainability and environmental awareness. While the brand isn't vegan per se, it at least takes care not to use ingredients directly derived from animals.
However, many of Biofficina Toscana's products have long been vegan. Cleanser Delicate was one of the first products marketed by the natural cosmetics manufacturer. Enriched with Tuscan fennel and calendula, it is suitable for daily care of the face, body and private parts, while remaining pleasant to use. The two-phase make-up remover works firstly with oil, which removes light make-up, and the aqueous part has a soothing effect, according to Biofficina Toscana, thanks to cornflower, chamomile and organic euphrasia and oat extract from Tuscany. And the Balsamo Lisciante conditioner
smoothing conditioner with organic grape and pomegranate extracts. According to the manufacturer, it's ideal for unruly hair.
In our shop, you'll also find lots of other great vegan products from the brands mentioned above.
