Looking for a flimsy reason to stock up your spring wardrobe? I’ll give you five.
Let’s not kid ourselves, we always find an excuse to go on a shopping spree. My personal favourite time for this is spring. It’s the time when fewer (but new) fabrics, colours and flowing silhouettes flourish. This year, various trends have embraced all of the above and will have you sorted for spring from head to toe - literally.
Gold statement earrings
Bigger is better now. Gold-plated earrings in organic, rounded shapes frame the face and make even the simplest outfit look sophisticated.
Waistcoats, but casual
I explained it at length in another article — waistcoats are the cooler tank tops. And I stand by this statement. Comfortable and easy on the arms, they look much better than any ordinary summer top.
Loose and light linen shirts
These are one of the essentials for the spring/summer season. As a classic shirt or casual throw-over, the linen shirt provides you with a loyal, temperature-regulating service from the office to the pool. In pastel colours, often with delicate stripes, they create a particularly pretty yet effortless look.
Sneakers in fun candy colours
Everything is prettier in bright colours. The same goes for your sneakers. So it’s no surprise that everyone’s walking around in grass green, sky blue or cherry blossom pink shoes. They add a pop of colour to monochrome looks or pair well with other elements in your outfit such as bags and sunglasses.
