I like many things, but my apartment can’t fit them all. So, many products end up in my watch list instead of my shopping cart. This time it’s the ultimate tuning parts for your bed.
Some people swap their old bed for an entirely new one when they get in a new relationship. No joke. It’s typically involuntary; their new partner may not want to sleep in the same bed as their old lover. So go the stories I hear from my friends who work in interior design. It’s a bit weird and wasteful in my eyes.
A new set of bed linen will also provide the needed breath of fresh air. Or, even better, a new headboard. It’ll give you the necessary change of scenery and improve comfort. In fact – new lover or not – I advocate all beds are treated to a fresh headboard every now and then.
A headboard will enhance even the most boring of bedframes. Especially headboards from «Kave Home», «byNord» and «Mutoni Living». These brands offer a wide variety of models for every style. For example, the «Calixta», made of braided brown leather straps. It goes wonderfully with teak bed frames and more rustic interiors. It’s a real eye-catcher. Just like the «Kron», which thanks to its light colour fits seamlessly into any room. At the same time, you can’t miss the coconut shell mosaic – it’s easily as decorative as a picture you’d hang up on your wall.
Headboards look especially great in studio apartments. They frame the bed and side tables, delineating the sleeping zone. And who wouldn’t rather snuggle up to a cosy surface like rattan, leather or wood instead of a bare, cold wall?

Go for a padded headboard to lie and sit comfortably as you read or engage in pillow talk and other physical activities. Most models are made of natural materials. The best way to care for rattan headboards is to spray them with water every now and then. Fabric covers, on the other hand, can be removed for washing – a big plus for people with allergies.
Nothing beats an immaculate wall. A headboard will protect your wall from any signs of use as you lounge around. When the time comes to move out, you’ll be thankful you don’t have to repaint anything. Speaking of moving: another plus of getting a headboard is that you can step outside your comfort zone. Go ahead and get a model that’s as loud and fancy as possible. Headboards can usually be mounted on the wall and removed in an instant thanks to a kind of mounting system. I swap mine out as the mood takes me – sometimes to mark the season and sometimes to match my bedsheets. But never for a new lover.
