Kids' stuff #2: Even the grown-ups like it
Children's rooms should be playfully decorated, but not kitschy. That's why I regularly select products from our shop that won't just bring joy to the little ones.
If there's one room that's allowed to be ornate, it's your children's. Because certain accessories often cross the line into kitsch and are difficult to integrate into the rest of the interior, this time I'll show you the exceptions when it comes to wall decorations. They create a harmonious picture. When your children are older, some design elements can also be used differently in the home.
Shelves & storage units
Beautifully shaped shelves play on walls, especially if their silhouette is reminiscent of motifs such as a cloud or is so simple that it becomes a display area for toys. New wall pictures can be created in an instant with the objects on the shelf. Later, instead of being used for dolls, the boxes can be repurposed for books.
Note and magnetic boards

Similar to picture frames, note boards can be reinterpreted. There are simple versions that become eye-catchers with the photos pinned on them, as well as those that are already full of character because they have a patterned surface. Or they can be painted and become the icing on the cake on the wall.
Picture frames
A frame lives from what is in it. Accordingly, the possibilities for designing a wall with it are vast. The contents can be changed quickly, the frame less so. So opt for timeless models. You can decorate an entire wall with them and choose a topic until your children are old enough to choose one themselves.
Stickers & wallpaper
Wall tattoos are a quick way to make a big impact without having to paint or wallpaper. There are those that can be arranged individually, such as stars and circles. Or motifs that are ready-made and can be applied in one piece. But you and your child won't quickly get tired of wallpaper with a restrained pattern either.

Garlands and tapestries
Wall hangings are softeners that are good for acoustics and beautify the wall. Strings of bunting have something cheerful and festive about them. They can stretch from corner to corner. Made of fabric, they are durable and can be used as party decorations as your children get older.

Mirror
Kids often have fun with their own reflection. So why not use the reflective surfaces as a design element for the walls and position more than one. Together, wall mirrors form a moving image that changes with the incidence of light.
3-D objects
Like posters, three-dimensional elements can be displayed on the wall. Individually or as a group, they create a great effect on empty walls. Depending on how they are arranged, they can tell stories. A jungle can be created with plants and animals, for example.
