Where to put all the children's drawings? In the Jamu picture frames!

Do you still need a gift for parents, grandparents, godparents or godfathers? Take a look at the picture frames for children's drawings from Jamu. They are an exquisite way to showcase the artwork of the next generation of Kahlos and Picassos.
While some people spend heaps of money on art, we only need a few colouring pencils and paper. Zoe, our soon-to-be six-year-old daughter, does the rest. For some time now, she has been drawing and colouring for all she's worth. She gives many of her artworks to her kindergarten friends and relatives. And many more of Zoe's pictures stay at home with us.

Zoe has given mummy and daddy so many finished and unfinished masterpieces that we don't even know where to put them. With all due love, we don't want to cover every wall and room door with children's drawings. So the picture frame from Jamu, which I have the honour of testing, is just what I need.
Scope of delivery
I received an A4 frame made of maple for the test. The picture frames are also available in A3 and A6 formats. They are also carved from a different wood depending on your preference. In addition to maple, you can also find some made of oak. Jamu itself also offers fir and beech.
Social vein
The first thing I notice when I receive the picture frame is how lovingly and ecologically it is packaged. Ecological, because apart from paper and cardboard, there is no waste, which I think is very commendable. And lovingly, because between the assembly instructions and other inserts there is a little card with a handwritten note saying who packed my picture frame. Thank you very much at this point, Roger!

The Jamu picture frames are produced by the Züriwerk foundation in Bubikon in the Zurich Oberland. This foundation supports people with disabilities to live with equal rights, be independent and participate in social life. Züriwerk offers employees with predominantly cognitive impairments various and individualised opportunities to live, work and learn a profession.
Man, that's the fat man!
As I take the wooden frame out of the packaging, I notice how high-quality it feels - and how thick it is. One of the special features that sets Jamu apart from other manufacturers. Because it's not just a picture frame, but also an archive for children's drawings.
According to Jamu, there is space for around 100 drawings behind the visible picture, which is protected by a glass pane, and a thin partition. I think that's a little overconfident. After all, Zoe's drawings are often a little wavy or even slightly crumpled after the work is done. Nonetheless, the frame certainly has room for several dozen of her artworks.

Another advantage: Because the picture frame is so thick, you can place it wherever and however you like. You don't need a stand or any help, the Jamu frame stands on its own.
Drawing, change
If you want to fill the picture frame with your child's drawings, it's child's play. The upper part of the frame is magnetic and can be easily removed and replaced. This means that even your child can change the visible drawing at any time and at will.
Can also be rotated on the wall
If you want to hang up the Jamu picture frame, another special feature comes into play. This is because the supplied hanging device ensures that you can also rotate the frame on the wall into portrait or landscape format depending on the drawing.
Because we have somewhat tricky walls in terms of drilling, I haven't been able to try out this feature myself. If I do find a suitable spot, I'll be happy to make up for it and provide an update.

The price is hot
You can get a picture frame in A4 format from us for under eight francs. The one from Jamu is a little out of the ordinary in this respect: You'll fork out more than ten times as much for the maple model, while the oak model is a little more expensive still. A lot of money for a picture frame, no doubt.
But before you get too excited about the high price, consider a few things. Firstly, Jamu's product is the fast charger among picture frames, as it is both a frame and a children's drawing archive in one. Secondly, it is made of wood and not cheap plastic. And thirdly, your purchase also supports the Züriwerk foundation and thus a good cause.

In a nutshell
The perfect frame for every child's drawing, at a price
The Jamu picture frame inspires me across the board. It's one of those simple yet great product ideas that you wish you'd thought of yourself. The extra space in the frame eliminates the question of where to keep all your child's or children's drawings and colouring pictures. Its design makes it a practical and easy-to-use removable frame.
In my opinion, the relatively high price for the picture frame is justified for several reasons, not least because of the sustainable and local production. Nevertheless, I can understand anyone who thinks this is too much money for a picture frame.
