This cast iron Dutch oven with a matching lid is the perfect cooking utensil for outdoor kitchens. Whether on a solid fire pit, a campfire, or a grill area, this 5-liter pot allows you to extend outdoor cooking beyond regular grilling. For a secure stand, the Dutch oven comes with a base, ensuring stability even on uneven surfaces.

Cooking with the Dutch oven is incredibly versatile: from tender meats to flavorful vegetable dishes, and even bread or moist cakes. It can be heated with charcoal, briquettes, or wood. Thanks to its solid cast iron construction, heat is distributed evenly, cooking food thoroughly. The lid also absorbs heat due to its thermal conductivity, making it unsafe to handle with bare hands; instead, use the included practical lid lifter. Additionally, the lid features a raised edge for placing extra embers or charcoal. For storage, grease the Dutch oven, place a sheet of paper towel inside, and do not close the lid completely.

Seasoning: For the initial seasoning, clean the pot and lid with hot water and rub the Dutch oven with a neutral-flavored vegetable fat. Then, place the pot upside down in the oven at 180 °C for one hour, and afterward, evenly spread the remaining fat. Please do this regularly to fill the pores in the pot and develop a patina that protects against rust.

Cleaning: For cleaning, use only hot water and scrub off any larger food residues with a brush. Do not use soap or cleaning agents, and re-grease the pot after each cleaning. Do not store food residues or ash in the Dutch oven, as these can cause rust when combined with moisture.
