Pattex Mounting adhesive Gluing instead of drilling

Whenever something needs to be fixed in the house or apartment, Pattex adhesive instead of drilling mounting adhesive is often the ideal solution. It is easy to use, and the fastening holds immediately (after approximately 10 seconds, it can support about 50 kg/m² with full-surface gluing).

Note: One of the two bonding surfaces must be absorbent (porous).

Tips & Tricks:
What is an absorbent surface?

This includes all materials that have a porous or permeable structure or are capable of absorbing liquids or moisture.

To easily test the absorbency of the substrate, spray water onto the intended adhesive surface. The faster the substrate absorbs the water, the more absorbent it is.

Cleaning with playing cards:
After the gluing process, fold a playing card and pull off the excess adhesive along the edges of the glued object. It's that easy to remove excess glue!

How much adhesive is required?

To achieve the ideal bonding, we recommend using between 200 g and 400 g of Pattex bonding instead of drilling per square meter.

Easier to apply:
If you are using a Pattex cartridge, simply cut off the cartridge tip at an angle with a knife or pliers. This simplifies the application and allows for precise application of the glue.
