Rust protection paint for all uncoated, rusty, or old coatings of ferrous and non-ferrous metals after appropriate pre-treatment, such as garden fences, garden furniture, stair and balcony railings, window grilles, lamps, bicycles, trellises, etc.

Hammerite paints are generally not suitable for painting motor vehicles, heated surfaces (such as grill grates, oven pipes, brake calipers, engines, exhaust systems, etc.), surfaces exposed to high mechanical stress (such as floors, lifts, car undercarriages, etc.), powder-coated objects, or components with permanent underwater contact (such as pool ladders, in boat areas, dishwasher baskets, aquariums, etc.).

Preparation:
Bright iron metals: Sand very smooth surfaces. Remove sanding dust. Clean the surface very carefully with Hammerite Metal Cleaner.

Rusty iron metals: Remove loose particles with a wire brush. Clean the surface with Hammerite Metal Cleaner.

Cast iron: Remove loose particles, sand, and clean with Hammerite Metal Cleaner. Apply 1 coat of Hammerite Rust Blocker as a primer.

Tip: The hammer effect is best achieved when the paint is applied quickly and not too thinly, allowing time for the effect to develop. Repeated touch-ups or brushing of the paint may reduce the hammer effect. Hammer effect paints can only be retouched with hammer effect paints. Using other systems may result in adhesion or surface defects.
