Hammerite Metal protective lacquer hammer blow

Rust protection paint for all uncoated, rusted, or old painted ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals after appropriate pre-treatment. Suitable for garden fences, garden furniture, stair and balcony railings, window grilles, lamps, bicycles, trellises, and more.

Hammerite paints are generally not suitable for painting vehicles, heated surfaces (such as grill pipes, oven pipes, brake calipers, engines, exhaust systems), surfaces exposed to high mechanical stress (such as floors, lifts, vehicle underbodies), powder-coated objects, or components with permanent underwater contact (such as pool ladders, in boat areas, dishwasher baskets, aquariums).

Preparation:
Uncoated ferrous metals: Sand very smooth surfaces, remove sanding dust, and carefully clean the surface with Hammerite Metal Cleaner.

Rusted ferrous metals: Remove loose particles with a wire brush and clean the surface with Hammerite Metal Cleaner.

Cast iron: Remove loose particles, sand, and clean with Hammerite Metal Cleaner. Apply a layer of Hammerite Rust Blocker as an adhesion promoter.

Tip: The hammer effect is best achieved when the paint is applied quickly and not too thinly, allowing time for the effect to develop. Repeated touch-ups or brushing of the paint can lead to a less pronounced hammer effect. Hammer effect paints can only be touched up with hammer effect paints; using other systems may result in adhesion or surface defects.
