Additional aramid sheath. The name Core Protect Rope says it all: To better protect the rope from sharp rock and metal edges, there is an extra aramid sheath between the polyamide outer sheath and the core. In the event of a fall, this aramid sheath unfolds due to its elongated construction, and the rope behaves just as dynamically as any other Mammut rope. Handling and abrasion resistance remain the same, but cut resistance increases!
