Product details
Impregnated, dynamic double rope with high cut resistance. The 8.0 Alpine Core Protect Dry Rope from Mammut is a revolutionary double rope for alpine climbing and mountaineering. It is significantly more cut-resistant while still meeting all the standards of a dynamic climbing rope.
Additional aramid sheath. With the Core Protect Rope, the name says it all: to better protect the rope from sharp rock and metal edges, there is an extra aramid sheath between the polyamide outer sheath and the core. In the event of a fall, this aramid sheath unfolds due to its extended construction, while the rope behaves just as dynamically as any other Mammut rope. Handling and abrasion resistance remain the same, but cut resistance increases!
Whether mountaineering, single or multi-pitch climbing, or ice climbing – with the Core Protect Rope, you elevate your safety to a whole new level.
Key features at a glance:
- Significantly more cut-resistant when loaded on sharp edges thanks to the additional aramid sheath
- Double-certified half and twin rope
- Achieves less than 2% in UIAA water absorption tests
- Ready to climb: the rope is tangle-free and does not need to be uncoiled before first use
- Abrasion-resistant middle marking
- Optimized abrasion resistance through dry treatment
- Bluesign product.
