The sensor dispenser runs on 4 AA batteries (not included), not rechargeable batteries. You can use normal liquid soap and washing-up liquid as long as they do not contain exfoliating particles. For dishwashing liquid, compatibility with "spring" dishwashing liquid is explicitly mentioned, other brands should work similarly if they are thin enough.

In my case, there is a runny radial line in the plastic at the top of the edge, between "at" and "simply...", but it is not a crack. With a magnifying glass you can see that it's just a change in colour, and you can't feel the spot with your fingernail. I can't see anything in the soap tank.

ST1044 is made of shiny stainless steel. ST1043 is made of brushed stainless steel. The dispenser has a built-in lithium-ion battery and can be easily recharged with the supplied USB cable. Although it is in continuous use in our home, one charge lasts longer than 3 months. The statement "Soap quantity can be adjusted via +/- buttons" is not true. The amount of soap is regulated by the positioning of the hand. We use liquid soap from Migros etc. It has been in use for 2 years and has never dripped; however, we do not dilute the soap with water. I love this soap dispenser; it is the best we have ever had. Its simple, beautiful design fits perfectly in our kitchen and with the shiny tap.

Hello Krissie I diluted the soap with a little warm water when filling. And I always put my hand right at the top, just below the outlet, then it works quite well. Jörg

You little cleaning devil! Press the button on the back for several seconds and the appliance switches off. You can tell when you look at the light above the soap dispenser. The unit is charged when the light above the soap dispenser is permanently blue. As long as the light is blue, it is charging. If the light is red, the battery is slowly running out. You can only see this at the soap dispenser.
