This cable only transmits the image via HDMI and does not support audio transmission. It is only used to convert a Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C connection into an HDMI connection without offering additional functions such as sound transmission.
Automatically generated from the .I’ve connected my MacBook to a (3rd) display. It works.
I think so. I have an Apple laptop connected to a 4K monitor.
This is not certain. The brand recommends using Samsung TVs/screens launched after 2019. However, compatibility with DeX is not guaranteed. More information can be found here: https://www.samsung.com/fr/support/model/samsung-dex/
The adapter can connect USB-C to HDMI. I really can't imagine that it works the other way round, it's not just a few wires, the USB-C signal has to be adapted to HDMI, for which it also has some electronics integrated in the HDMI plug (that's why it's so big and gets a bit warm) - it doesn't just work the other way round.
Should actually work if you want to connect it to a screen.
The long answer: The USB-C connector on most iPads (not Air) can output a Displayport signal. There is an active component (chip) in this cable that converts the Displayport signal into an HDMI signal. Therefore it works.
Hello, I can't tell you that, I just found out myself that it works or doesn't work depending on the dokin station, you just have to try it out.
The cable is capable of 4k/60Hz, and the MacBook 2016 should be able to drive at least one 5k / 2 4K display depending on the model (13" with / without touchbar or 15" have different graphics cards). Connected via cable, however, this is not normally mirrored by the MacBook but controlled as an additional display (or as the only one when the MacBook is closed, in which case it needs a power supply so that it does not go into sleep mode when closed and, of course, an external mouse/keyboard).
No, unfortunately not.
definitely. usb type c and hdmi are technology standards that apple as well as microsoft (can) use. just consider the requirements your devices have to meet.
Tested it myself and it works at 4K 60Hz with Mac Book Pro.
