Hello everyone I would like to buy a Synology DS223j and would like to know if this model supports video surveillance. Perhaps someone familiar with NAS can answer my question. Greetings Urs

uiuiu. DAU here! I do my backups with Drobo 5Dt. The Drobo has been running perfectly since 2016, but since the company no longer exists and the software also no longer receives updates, I want to switch to Synology. Currently just under 5TB is occupied on 2x4TB and 1x3TB disks. I was thinking of a Synology DS 923+. Can I just move the full disks from the Drobo into the DS 923 and that's it? or do I have to transform the data first or transfer it via Mac to new disks in the DS 923? Thanks

Hey Community I would like to store my photos and videos from my mobile phone and those of my girlfriend after sorting them out in one place so that we both have access to them in full quality. Access should always be possible from anywhere via the internet. What do you recommend? I was thinking of a Synology NAS because of the operating system, which is supposedly relatively easy to use. Any concrete product recommendations?

Hello together I have installed 2 SSD Samsung 860 EVO 1TB in my Syno 3018xs and wanted to use this as SSD Chache. But my Syno 3018xs is complaining that this SSD is not compatible (error message). The firmware on the compatibility list is RVT01B6Q. My SSD have the firmware: RVT04B6Q Can I still set up the SSD chache? Or what can I do? Or is it not possible at all? Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks for the feedback

Hello together A question which SMBV version in Synology should you currently have set as minimum and maximum (clear maximum smb3) but as minimum? SMB2 or SMB2 and Large MTU? Advantages / disadvantages ? I only use current Win10 Prof machines in my 1 Gbit network.... Thanks for the support
