It would be really practical to add filtering for fibre optic cables according to their classes OM1, OM2....OS1, OS2... to add. So far you can sort by copper classes, which doesn't really make sense for fibre optic cables.

I would like to run a network cable through the empty conduits and install an RJ45 socket at both ends. The distance is approx. 15m - but since you never know what detours the empty conduits will take, let's say 20m. But how the heck do I find a 20m installation cable on Galaxus? There is no filter for installation/installation cable. Even with the keyword search, network cables with RJ45 are displayed. And no @andreas, who links to the 305m Dattwyler cable over and over again, I don't want to buy 305m of installation cable. I read everywhere that Cat.7 has no advantage for home use, except a smaller wallet - is that also true in my case? TLDR; - Who can link me to a suitable cable? - How can I filter for a suitable cable? Thank you

The fibre optic cable that comes with the Zyxel AX7501-B1 router for the Galaxus 10 Gbit/s fibre plan is very short. I want to buy a longer one, but I'm not sure exactly which one I need. The plugs on the supplied cable are green, which indicates APC cut. I'm currently using a different single-mode cable with a blue SC connector in the router, and the connection seems great (>1Gbps).

As Swisscom only offers fibre optic cables up to 10m, but I need 20m, I want to order one here on Digitec. But I just can't work out what I need from the connectors. Does anyone know anything about this? According to https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/swisscom-netzwerkkabel-10-m-netzwerkkabel-43695821 I need an LC/APC-SC but the ones I find have a "strange" double connector. LC/APC-SC/APC or LC/APC-SC/UPC look more like the short one I got from Swisscom. But of course the question is whether they would work despite the different labelling... The Swisscom employees could not help me either, which is why I am now desperately dependent on the collective knowledge of this Community.

For training purposes (cable assembly) I am looking for - Cable reels (100m/305m) - RJ45 plugs (pack of 50 / 100) Both must fit together, be Cat6 or higher, and attractively priced. :) No "field-attachable" plugs, but plugs that can be assembled with a simple crimping tool.

My latest laptop only has an ix Ethernet connection. An adapter cable to RJ45 was included, but at 3 metres it is far too long for me. DigitecGalaxus does stock ix-Ethernet cables, but only with ix plugs on both sides, no adapter cables to RJ45. Are such adapter cables (e.g. from these here: https://b2b.harting.com/ebusiness...) in Zukunft auch ins Programm aufgenommen?

Hello together I have a question about the BKS cable. Every room in the flat has an Internet connection, but unfortunately it's all with BKS. These are already equipped with 10 gbits, but it's a pain to always look with this company and you can't buy freely in the market. Can I simply cut them off and attach an RJ-45 cable? I am looking for a good network cable that is intended for laying (not a patch cable with stranded wires). It should also be suitable for 10 Gbit/s, i.e. Cat6(a). White would be the best colour, in case surface-mounted installations are necessary. It would also be good if the cable is not too thick. I don't think shielding is necessary, because if the cable is shielded, you also have to use shielded patch panels and sockets, or what do you think? I would like to replace the existing telephone connections in our house with RJ45 sockets/cables. Unfortunately, the existing pipes only have an internal diameter of approx. 14mm. In order to be able to lay the cabling as star-shaped as possible, I would have to be able to pull 2, if possible even 3, network cables through one pipe. Can you recommend a Cat.6a or Cat.7 cable that is as thin as possible? Are there installation cables with a maximum diameter of 6mm? Hello To connect a UniFi camera to a UniFi switch, I need a 20m long LAN cable. Because the UniFi manual https://dl.ui.com/qig... shows a special, flexible "LAN cable head", I wanted to ask for advice here. In the UniFi forum, however, this was criticised as pure Marketing and I was also advised to pay attention to Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a and not to use CCA cable (copper-clad aluminium) instead of pure copper core. Any tips!

Hello all A somewhat specific request: I have to connect two cables via a LAN cable (building wiring): One is a "normal" LAN cable (RJ45) for the internet, the other is a telephone connection (RJ11). There are port doublers such as the one from Lindy (Lindy UTP Port Doubler), where you can route two RJ45 cables (with max. 100mbit) through one cable. Is the same available for 1x RJ45 and 1x Rj11? Or would a DIY solution work? A port splitter cable (e.g. Lindy) on both sides. On one side the normal RJ45 LAN cable, on the other side an RJ11 to RJ45 converter, on the other side again an RJ45 to RJ11 converter. Does anyone have a similar problem? Thank you for your opinion.

Hello everyone, unfortunately I have to change the provider for fibre optics. In my overconfidence I bought a router myself and now I need the cable to go with it.... Here are the specifications according to the homepage of the new provider: Simplex singlemode cable as patch cable LC/PC to LC/APC, compatible with SFP optics. Fiber7-X: 10G SFP+ BIDI LR, 10 km, TX1270/RX1330 nm, LC simplex, single mode The router is practically next to the fibre optic outlet. Cable length is therefore not a problem. The new provider is Init7, currently I will still have Fiber7, the Fiber7-X will come next year, therefore these details directly. Can anyone recommend a cable? Thank you in advance! Addendum: Do I need an SFP optic? And if so, what for? Resp. what the h***e is that?

Hello all. The following situation: I have a TT83 socket in the living room and in the office room. In the living room I have the normal Sunrise adapter to RJ11 and then the DSL cable that goes into the modem. Now I want the same principle in the office, except that I want to use an RJ45 cable to connect to a switch. I already have a second TT83 - RJ11 adapter for the socket in the office, can I connect the following cable to this adapter: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/wirewin-telefonkabel-rj11-auf-rj45-telefon-zubehoer-6279512 and go with it directly into the switch and from there further into the PC? The aim would be to get internet from the socket in the office, according to Sunrise this should work parallel to the living room. Thanks for your help!

I have a LAN connection and use it to run a PC. Now I would like to connect a second laptop to it, better than with WLAN, but it only runs when the PC is not switched on. Which distributor do you recommend? It doesn't have to be one that has a power supply. Just a connector for 2 LAN cables.

Hoi together, I need to run 2 LAN cables over 15 metres into another room. Unfortunately, they have to go under a door, which is why only flat cables come into question. One cable goes to a 10Gbit connection (8Gbit currently run through in real terms), the other to a 1Gbit. That's why I had Cat 6a in mind. The question is - can I lay both cables directly on top of each other without causing interference? The flat cables are mostly unshielded... (UTP) Can they therefore interfere with each other? Do I definitely need a shield? If so, which one? Maybe someone knows - thanks and greetings :-)

Hello together I have the following situation to solve: For the home network cabling, 1 Cat5e cable was used per room and two sockets were created on the wall. One socket with RJ45 Ethernet assignment for 100Base-T (pins 1,2,3 and 6) and the other also RJ45 but with a TT assignment (the middle 4 pins). If both sockets had an Ethernet assignment, this could simply be solved with an RJ45 splitter. This does not work here because of the assignment of the TT socket. Question: Is there a splitter (or cable or whatever) that has one socket with Ethernet and one with TT assignment? Many greetings
