Weekly Fashion Hack: the open zip

There are simple tricks you can use to arrange your clothes to your liking, and I want to present them to you in a multi-part series.

Last week I widened a pair of trousers with a too-tight waist without needle and thread. Now it's the turn of my next skeleton in the wardrobe: a pair of trousers whose zip has put me in embarrassing situations several times.

There is a simple trick to prevent the zipper from unzipping itself: don't fold the zipper upwards, but downwards. This way, the teeth on the back of the slider engage with the hinge, keeping it ideally closed.

The hinge is then closed.

If this trick doesn't help, another one comes into play: stick a key ring in the slider puller and pull the hinge up. Now you can attach the ring to the trouser button and button your jeans as usual. The highlight: this method is foolproof and the trick remains completely hidden.

The keyring must be bigger than the trouser button......so that it can be attached to it.

Do you know any other useful tricks? Leave a comment at the bottom of the page. Follow me if you don't want to miss my fashion tricks. In the next episode I'll tell you what to do with a plunging neckline.
