Copy Paste: a sophisticated look made from essential summer basics

The tube top from the 2000s is currently making a comeback. Here's how to style this nostalgic piece in an elegant "quiet luxury" style.
When it's the height of summer and the noughties revival is booming, one item of clothing benefits in particular: the tube top. At the fashion search engine Stylight, demand for the figure-hugging, off-the-shoulder top has risen by 25 per cent compared to the previous year. Although the skimpy piece has never completely disappeared, it is particularly characteristic of fashion in the 2000s. Back then, icons such as Britney Spears and Sarah Jessica Parker preferred to wear it with hipster trousers - which are also currently experiencing a second heyday.
Influencer Heloise Guillet shows another very elegant way to combine the top. She has created a minimalist, timeless look from simple basics that epitomises the much-discussed "Quiet Luxury" aesthetic.

Heloise paired her black tube top with another big trend: the long denim skirt. It looks a touch more elegant in white denim than in traditional blue washes. The white pumps with the black lace pick up on the colour scheme and give the outfit a preppy character. The large gold earrings, cat-eye sunglasses and white bag with gold details add a touch of glamour.
