Product details
Fire brigade turntable ladder - a new mechanical model from the latest Ugears truck collection. This model features a real, extendable 3-part turntable ladder that can also be converted into a crane. Fully extended, the length is approximately 70 cm.
The turntable ladder includes several operating elements. The ladder is lifted by pressing the lever multiple times. Use the handle to turn the ladder to the right or left, and a special ratchet fixes the current position. Turn the valve to retract or extend the ladder. A hook can be fitted at the front to use the turntable ladder as a crane. Similar to the large prototypes, this Ugears model also has a small ladder on the side for the fireman to quickly access the truck.
This model is equipped with a 4-cylinder engine, driven by a cardan shaft and gears powered by a rubber motor. The transmission allows for idling, forward, or reverse speeds. You can let the model drive forwards and backwards, or shift to "idle" to admire the pistons moving realistically under the bonnet. Open the cabin door to reveal a fully functional steering wheel, which connects to the suspended front axle via the handlebar. The accelerator pedal is also located there.
The model is made entirely of wood materials and includes many realistic details and elements. It is fascinating to observe how the entire mechanism moves and how the individual elements are driven.
The turntable ladder, like all other Ugears models, is assembled without glue, following a colorfully illustrated and detailed step-by-step instruction. All components are laser-cut and can be easily removed from the plates. First, individual assemblies such as the body, cardan shaft, wheel suspension, platform, and ladder are constructed to form a finished model.
Number of components: 537
Construction time: Approximately 14-16 hours.
