Tram Line - 284 Components, from the "Mechanical City" Series
The new product from UGEARS is called Tram Line and is a collector's item from the Mechanical City series. This retrospective impresses with its excellent design, which explores the beginnings of urban rail transport in all its facets. This unmistakably includes the shunting yard of the urban railway depot, where the maneuvering of heavy local trains is depicted in detail.
The uniqueness with which UGEARS presents its mechanical models to a technology and model-building-oriented audience is based on the retro-futuristic influences of the steampunk style. The partially intricately perforated wooden surfaces of the components, which are assembled without glue or other tools, highlight the technology capable of detailing gear, lever, and pulley mechanics. The wooden model of the tram line from the Mechanical City series is therefore a mechanical artwork that carries postmodern characteristics. With the tram, a rail overpass, tracks, and many other components, the magic of an urban atmosphere is created, which is at the center of current events. This still life, with its 248-piece construction, resembles a unique piece that can adorn any display case.
