Hammerite Metal protective lacquer hammer blow

Rust protection paint for all untreated, rusted, or old painted iron metals and non-ferrous metals after appropriate pre-treatment, such as garden fences, garden furniture, stair and balcony railings, window grilles, lamps, bicycles, trellises, etc.

Hammerite paints are generally not suitable for painting vehicles, heated surfaces (such as grill pipes, stove pipes, brake calipers, engines, exhaust systems, etc.), surfaces exposed to high mechanical stress (such as floors, lifts, vehicle undercarriages, etc.), powder-coated objects, or components with permanent underwater contact (such as pool ladders, in boat areas, dish racks for dishwashers, aquariums, etc.).

Preparation:
Untreated iron metals: Sand very smooth surfaces. Remove sanding dust. Clean the surface very carefully with Hammerite Metal Cleaner.

Rusted iron metals: Remove loose particles with a wire brush. Clean the surface with Hammerite Metal Cleaner.

Cast iron: Remove loose particles, sand, and clean with Hammerite Metal Cleaner. Apply a layer of Hammerite Rust Blocker as a bonding agent.

Tip: The hammer effect is best achieved when the paint is applied quickly and not too thinly, allowing time for the effect to develop. Repeated touch-ups or brushing of the paint can lead to a less pronounced hammer effect. Hammer blow paints can only be touched up with hammer blow paints. Using other systems may result in adhesion or surface defects.
