The Grillfürst Cold Smoke Generator offers an easy way to smoke food—whether in a gas grill, charcoal grill, smokehouse, smoker, or even in the oven. With this smoke generator, you can turn any grill into a smoking chamber. It has a diameter of 19.5 cm and a smoking duration of about 8 hours. The so-called smoking spiral is perfect for cold smoking, but it can also be used in combination with a grill for hot and warm smoking, eliminating the need for a smoking box.
With the cold smoke generator, you can smoke various foods, such as:
- Fish like trout or salmon
- Cheese of all kinds
- Meat cuts like ham or bacon
- Sausages
- Poultry like goose breast, turkey, or chicken
- Side dishes like vegetables, eggs, or potatoes
The cold smoke generator works like a sparking fire. Essentially, it is a simple smoking spiral. In Germany, the term "Sparbrand" has also become established, referring to its mode of operation. The smoking spiral is filled with smoking flour or wood chips and then ignited with a tealight or fire starter to smolder. Once ignited, the embers slowly burn from the outside in, making it very efficient and lasting for many hours—hence the term "Sparbrand.".
