Eschenfelder Sprout glass set

These three sprout jars each have a capacity of 1500 ml. Each sprout jar has a fine-mesh sieve and a screw cap made of nickel-free stainless steel. The drip rack is also made of stainless steel and the white drip tray is made of high-quality ceramic - high-fired and glazed to be food-safe. All parts are dishwasher-safe.

With this sprouting jar system, you can grow sprouts effortlessly and hygienically clean without soil: the inclined position of the sprouting jars guarantees the continued freshness of the sprouts, as the water can run off (preventing waterlogging) and air can circulate (fine-meshed sieve). The ceramic tray catches the dripping water so that the system can be placed anywhere.

The seeds are soaked in the sprout jar, rinsed and grown until harvest. Please note that these sprouting jars are not suitable for mucilaginous seeds. Slime-forming seeds include cress, rocket, mustard, chia and linseed, which require a dormant soil. Cress sieves are suitable for this.

And this is how you do it: Soak the sprouting seeds in water for approx. 8-12 hours (small seeds such as alfalfa, radishes 1 tablespoon, large seeds such as mung beans, chickpeas 2-3 tablespoons). Then pour out the water and place the jar at an angle. Rinse the sprouts twice a day with fresh water. Pour out the water after rinsing. Place the sprout jar at an angle again so that the excess water can drip off and air can circulate.

You can harvest after 5-8 days, sunflower, chickpea and lentil sprouts even after 2-3 days.
