The standard epoxy resin LuminaCast 2 Coaster Cast is ideal for beginners. It is suitable for small projects up to 15 mm in casting height, such as bookmarks, coasters, trays, tiered stands, and more, where outstanding clarity and yellowing resistance are desired. Whether you are a professional craftsman or looking to enhance your DIY skills, this Coaster Cast will elevate your creative projects to the next level. Examples of applications include jewelry, coasters, crafts, trays, tiered stands, and pendants, which can be cast in silicone, for instance.
The excellent blush resistance of the modern formula reduces the risk of carbamates. The recommended casting height at 20°C is between 1 mm and 15 mm, and the pot life is approximately 40 minutes.
Ecological responsibility is a priority: More than 70% of the degasser is bio-based. The consistency is thin (low viscosity). This product is a chemical and is offered for sale by Galaxus, but shipped by an external provider. The shipping company must ensure, due to legal requirements, that the buyer is at least 18 years old. Therefore, it reserves the right to cancel orders or ship only after receiving a copy of the ID in case of doubt.

Instructions for use | Areas of application - Production of jewellery from silicone moulds with a casting height of 1 mm to 15 mm (higher casting quantity possible depending on room temperature and material quantity <19°C) - Production of trays, coasters and much more Production of glass and carbon laminates or moulds where excellent transparency is expected/necessary - For moulding or laminating (e.g. spray lamination, compression moulding, infusion technology, vacuum, manual lamination) - Food contact: The formulation is free of sVHC or CoRAP substances. After complete chemical curing, the product can come into contact with food. Application I Procedure LuminaCast 2 Coaster Cast is accurately weighed by weight in a clean container at a mixing ratio of 2:1. A scale and two mixing cups are required to enable exact weighing and mixing. Please do not mix by volume as this can lead to an incorrect result. First mix the A and B components at max. 300 revolutions/minute for approx. three to four minutes. Then pour the A+B mixture into a new clean container and mix again for three to four minutes. Scrape off some of the resin from the edges of the old container and drop it into the centre of the new one. This process is important to obtain a mixture that is as homogeneous as possible. Important note: Mixing the transport containers (bottles / canisters) A (resin) and B (hardener) will result in incomplete curing and correspondingly incorrect results. Important note: The higher the room temperature and the larger the quantity mixed, the faster the exothermic reaction. Important application data - Processing time (pot life) at 23°C (200 grams, 15 mm): approx. 35 min tTmax (23°C, 200 grams, 20 mm) (time to maximum exotherm): approx: 80 min. - Mixing time: 3-4 min. + repotting and again 3-4 min. for a mixture that is as homogeneous as possible - Mixing ratio: 2:1 by weight (A+B) - Recommended casting quantity (20°C): 0.1 cm - 1.5 cm (1 - 15 mm) - Demouldable (10-15 mm) after (23°C): approx. 16 - 24 hrs. - Next layer pourable after: approx. 8-12 hours at 20°C (10 mm - 15 mm) - Minimum mixing quantity: Recommended: 90 grams A+B. |
