Further details: Self-welding high-voltage insulating tape, cold-welding insulating tape made of polyisobutylene, provided with an easily peelable plastic release liner. It welds under slight tensile stress to form a solid air- and watertight rubber layer. The tape is extremely stretchable (tear elongation at tear 600%) and conformable, permanently elastic, and compatible with all materials for insulation and sheathing. It has a wide application temperature range and very good electrical properties, especially dielectric strength.

Ideal for sealing, splicing, insulating, and repairing current-carrying cables, mainly for voltage insulation of power cables up to 35 kV. It has excellent repair properties even on heavy rubber hose lines and is suitable for waterproof sealing of electrical connections and terminals, such as TV satellite dishes. It is also effective for fixing cables outdoors, providing corrosion protection for metal parts, and is excellent for emergency repairs to radiators, water and engine hoses, vacuum cleaner hoses, drainage basins, and pipes.
