This double-sided adhesive tape made of foam consists of closed-cell polyethylene foam, coated on both sides with acrylic-based adhesive and provided with release paper. It offers excellent pressure resistance and is easy to shape. The tape has very good resistance to UV radiation, aging, moisture, oils, solvents, and plasticizers, ensuring strong immediate adhesion. It is suitable for various heavy-duty installations both indoors and outdoors and serves as an alternative to rivets, screws, and liquid adhesives. It is particularly effective for bonding inelastic materials with irregular, rough surfaces such as wood, masonry, concrete, and paints. Applications include surface mounting of cable ducts, cable clamps, junction boxes, as well as securing badges, displays, and signs. It also provides shock-resistant and vibration-dampened soft mounting for assemblies, effectively reduces sound transmission, and creates form-fitting seals against dust, water, steam, wind, and light. Additionally, it can be used to close air outlets for energy savings.
