CarbonActive EC Silentbox 7000m3/h 400mm

The latest from Carbon Active on the market: the Silent Box! Made of galvanized steel, it features sound-insulated fans. The fan housing is 50 mm sound and thermal insulated. These products are not suitable for explosive environments and are intended only for clean air supply and exhaust within buildings.

Centrifugal blowers with EC motors and maintenance-free ball bearings are used, characterized by high efficiency and high static pressure. The units have easy-to-open protective bonnets for uncomplicated maintenance. Continuous monitoring of the motor speed is optional. The speed of the EC motors can be regulated by connecting a 10 kΩ potentiometer to the control circuit, avoiding the need for large and expensive regulators, or by using an external 0-10 VDC signal.

The EC fan includes a controller. EC motor technology is now state of the art for fans and is increasingly demanded by customers for new installations due to potential energy savings. A standard asynchronous motor (AC motor) differs from an electronically commutated motor (EC motor) in that it is much more efficient. This is particularly evident in partial load operation: with the AC motor, only the voltage is reduced while the frequency remains the same, leading to high-loss slip operation. The EC motor with electronic commutation runs synchronously, eliminating slip and associated losses.
