CarbonActive EC Silentbox 3500m3/h 315mm

The new product from Carbon Active on the market: the Silent Box! It is made of galvanized steel and features sound-insulated fans. The fan housing is insulated for sound and heat with a thickness of 50 mm. These products must not be used in explosion-prone environments and are intended solely for supply and exhaust air in buildings. They utilize centrifugal fans with EC motors and maintenance-free ball bearings, known for their high efficiency and high static pressure. The devices come with easily accessible protective covers for straightforward maintenance. Continuous monitoring of the motor speed is optional. The speed of the EC motors can be controlled by connecting a 10 kΩ potentiometer to the control circuit, thus avoiding large and expensive controllers, or by an external 0-10 VDC signal.

EC fan including control: The EC motor technology is now the state of the art for fans and is in high demand from customers due to potential energy savings in new installations. A standard asynchronous motor (AC motor) differs from an electronically commutated motor (EC motor) in that it is significantly less efficient. This is particularly evident in partial load operation: with the AC motor, only the voltage is reduced while the frequency remains constant, leading to a loss-prone slip operation. The EC motor with electronic commutation runs synchronously, avoids slip, and thus slip losses.
