Design: Metric thread inserts made from stainless steel wire shaped like springs. Each coil runs freely, and the drive pin is cut off at the notch (break point) after installation. Optimized design with a novel entry area that allows the insert to be positioned and screwed in like a screw. High-strength, freely running HeliCoil®plus thread inserts made of stainless steel, featuring high wear resistance, low thread friction within tight tolerances, excellent surface quality, as well as corrosion and heat resistance. The flexible design enables uniform load and stress distribution, resulting in durable screw connections of the highest quality for all operating loads (static, dynamic) with ideal force transmission. Simple and quick installation creates a gage-holding, double-sided usable internal thread. Note: Self-locking inserts and other dimensions are available upon request. Suitable limit gages for thread testing are also available. Self-locking inserts, other dimensions, and UNC/UNF thread inserts are available upon request. Delivery includes: 10-piece set. Application: For economical repair of damaged or worn threads and as a construction element for thread reinforcement when using materials with low shear strength (e.g., aluminum, aluminum-magnesium alloys).
