Execution: Metric thread inserts made from stainless, spring-shaped stainless steel wire. Continuously free-flowing, the drive pin is cut off at the notch (predetermined breaking point) after installation. Optimized design with a novel entry area that allows the insert to be positioned and screwed in like a screw. High-strength, continuously free-flowing HeliCoil®plus thread inserts made of stainless steel with high wear resistance, low thread friction in tight tolerances, high surface quality, as well as corrosion and heat resistance. The flexible design enables uniform load and stress distribution, thereby creating durable screw connections of the highest quality for all operating loads (static, dynamic) with ideal force transmission. Simple, quick assembly results in a gage-holding, double-sided usable internal thread. Note: Self-locking inserts and other dimensions are available upon request. Suitable limit gages for thread testing can be found under No. 486000ff. Self-locking inserts, other dimensions, and UNC/UNF thread inserts are available upon request.
