Product details

Universal adhesive tape that is suitable for outdoor applications for up to 12 months due to its UV resistance. It can be removed without residue for up to 6 months, is moisture-resistant, and abrasion-resistant. This tape, made from a fabric laminated with polyethylene film and coated with rubber adhesive, conforms to irregular and curved surfaces. The tape does not roll back when unspooled, making it easy to apply. It is an excellent choice for applications where it can be used to seal covers and close cuffs. The 3M Fabric Tape 8979 has been tested according to UL723, ASTM E84. The tape can be used at temperatures of up to around 93 °C. Originally developed for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, this fabric tape is now used for various maintenance, repair, and construction applications, in addition to the conventional silver color.
