Here are the hard facts: The active camming device features a simple stem and a double axle system. This construction results in a low weight, which is especially beneficial on longer routes or demanding trad climbs that require a lot of gear. The double axle allows for maximum reach of the individual cam segments. The Dyneema sling is doubled over and can be extended if necessary to straighten the rope path and prevent the cam from shifting in the crack due to rope movement.
