Independent 139 Forged Hollow Mid Set

The new Independent MiD Forged Hollow axles feature a lower profile for an optimal contact point angle at the nose and tail for flip tricks, ledges, and all-around street skating, with a recommended wheel size of 52 mm and below. The newly developed and first independent inverted axle kingpin can be used with either a 5.5 mm Allen key or a standard 9/16" hex wrench. The innovative new wave nut in the base plate provides a stiff and durable solution against lateral movement, which is common with most inverted kingpins, and increases adjustability. The new MiD Forged Hollow stands 50.5 mm tall and is based on Independent's legendary geometry with full-size cushions for maximum turning responsiveness. The completely new design includes new size markings under the hanger for easy identification. The height of 50.5 mm ensures optimal performance and wheel clearance for wheels with a diameter of 52 mm and below. A356 T6 aluminum hanger: the best lightweight aluminum alloy, heat-treated in T6 condition for strength, durability, and grind feel. Forged 6061 aluminum base plate: forged aircraft-grade aluminum allows for a thinner part that still maintains high density and strength. Hollow chromoly steel axle: high-quality hollow chromoly steel for durability and weight savings. Class 8 inverted kingpin with 9/16" and 5.5 mm internal hex never breaks or bends. Steel wave nut with nylon locking insert.
