A practical feature: the stripes on the cord also serve as indicators for its diameter, eliminating any confusion during a climb. Note: The lifespan of Edelrid cords is a maximum of 14 years from the date of manufacture (10 years of usage + 4 years of storage). Depending on frequency of use or damage, the usable lifespan may be reduced.
