Characterized by the same structure and the same ultralight materials as the other XLC crampons, it differs by the inserts made of Sandvik Nanoflex steel at the front points. This enhances durability, reduces wear, and improves penetration in hard snow. The semi-automatic binding ensures a solid attachment even to semi-rigid shoes. For ski touring and telemark boots, the XLC Nanotech model with automatic binding is recommended.

Sandvik Nanoflex is an innovative steel alloy that is twice as durable compared to thermally treated chrome-molybdenum steel and has a hardness that is 20% stronger. This allows for a reduction in the amount of metal used and leads to a remarkable weight reduction while maintaining load capacity.
