Product details

The Corsa Nanotech is, according to Camp, the most innovative ice axe for glacier tours, winter mountaineering, and ski mountaineering available on the market. Constructed from 7075-T6 aluminum alloy like the super lightweight Corsa, it differs from the latter by the inserts made of Sandvik Nanoflex® steel alloy at the head and shaft tip: critical areas that are significantly more resistant and durable this way, without compromising on weight. The curve of the shaft provides better striking power without diminishing the penetration or impact ability into the ice. A special nylon insert prevents snow from entering and getting stuck in the shaft, which itself has a unique structure for good grip. The integrated opening between the shovel and shaft at the head allows for the attachment of a Corsa Leash (sold separately). Sandvik Nanoflex® is an innovative steel alloy with 60% higher strength than regular steel, allowing for significant savings in material and weight. Not recommended for ice climbing and steep mixed terrain. Technical specifications: Type of equipment: ice axe, weight approx.: 50 cm: 205 g, ice tool pick: with shovel, material: shaft: 1.3 mm 7075 aluminum, pick: Nanoflex® alloy, pick: 7075 aluminum, standards or markings: CE 0123, EN 13089 Type 1.
