Product details

The Black Diamond Raven Ice Axe is a modernized version of the original Chouinard model with a curved blade, designed as a traditional ice axe for mountaineering. It has been used for decades around the world on classic climbs. The newly redesigned and lighter Raven features a striking head made from cast stainless high-precision steel, providing better ergonomics and increased comfort while walking. The updated geometry of the blade and pick tip ensures better placements and efficient cutting. The redesigned spike offers improved bite and a greater ability to penetrate the ice. The durable handle made of aircraft-grade aluminum has been given a more comfortable trapezoidal cross-section to ensure an optimized grip.

Product features:

  • Durable aircraft-grade aluminum handle with trapezoidal cross-section
  • Striking head made from high-precision cast, one-piece stainless steel with a large carabiner hole
  • The shape and teeth of the blade are designed to function as a self-arrest
  • CEN-B certified.
