AKU Superalp GTX Shoes

The Aku Superalp GTX is a hiking shoe that remains comfortable even on particularly long tours or when carrying a heavy backpack. To meet these demands, the Italian shoe specialist AKU has developed the IMS3 Exoskeleton sole. The lower part features an outer skeleton made of polyurethane that rises at the back to encase and protect the heel, providing optimal support and stability while walking. The asymmetrical structure, with a wider inner section and a polyurethane elevation, offers support to the midfoot while preventing overloading and thus pronation. The upper part of the midsole, with its lightweight polyurethane inner section, provides cushioning and high pressure resistance. The Vibram sole ensures perfect grip. Additionally, the upper part of the Superalp GTX is impressive as well; the suede leather, combined with the integrated Gore-Tex membrane, offers breathability and weather protection. A rubber rand protects against rocks and impacts.
