AKU Superalp GTX Shoes

The Aku Superalp GTX is a hiking shoe that remains comfortable even on long tours or with heavy luggage. The Italian shoe specialist AKU has developed the IMS3 Exoskeleton sole for this purpose. The lower part features an outer skeleton made of polyurethane that rises at the back to encase and protect the heel. This provides optimal support and stability while walking. The asymmetrical structure, with a wider inner section and a polyurethane elevation, offers support to the midfoot and prevents overloading and pronation. The upper part of the midsole provides shock absorption and high pressure resistance with its lightweight polyurethane inner section. The Vibram sole ensures perfect grip. The upper material of the Superalp GTX is also impressive: the suede leather combined with the Gore-Tex membrane provides breathability and weather protection. A rubber rand protects against debris and impacts.
