AKU Superalp GTX

The Aku Superalp GTX is a hiking shoe that remains comfortable even on particularly long tours or when carrying a heavy backpack. For these demands, the Italian shoe specialist AKU has developed the IMS3-Exoskeleton sole. The lower part consists of an outer skeleton made of polyurethane, which is raised at the back to surround and protect the heel. This provides optimal support and stability while walking. The asymmetrical structure, with a wider inner section and a polyurethane elevation, offers support to the midfoot while preventing overloading and thus pronation. The upper part of the midsole features a lightweight polyurethane inner section for shock absorption and high pressure resistance. The Vibram sole ensures perfect grip. Additionally, the upper part of the Superalp GTX is impressive as well – the suede leather, combined with the integrated Gore-Tex membrane, provides breathability and weather protection. A rubber rand protects against debris and impacts. The Aku Superalp GTX is ideal for long-distance hikers, multi-day tours, trekking, pilgrimage routes, and anyone traveling with a tent, gear, and supplies.
